I have a suspected virus/trojan, whatever. I'm attempting to reinstall/run
Norton in Safe Mode. When I attempt to delete ANY program/software in Safe
Mode, I get a message re: Administrator and am unable to delete b/c I have no
Admin. password. Also can't access my CD drive in Safe Mode??? Want to run
misc. like AdAware, SB S&D, HijackThis, etc. etc. in Safe Mode as per MVP's
and experts recommendations. Root problem is I have 1,000's of packets via
DSL that I suspect are malicious. (53,577 Sent -- 46,130 Received currently)
Is user "Administrator" a default in Safe Mode????? Please advise.

Hi,

Install Norton via normal mode under a profile/account with admin
priveleges. Do all of your add or remove via normal mode. Each of these
programs can be run under safe mode.

However if the CD issue continues, install this combo to a Cleanup Folder
and add it to all users. Then update and run via safe mode. Good luck!

Run Ad-Aware SE, Spybot, CWShredder and HijackThis:

Note: Update the first two programs, once installed, before running.
