User accounts

When I click on user accounts in control panel I get a blank window with 2
arrows one to L one to right and an icon saying home. Surely there should be
more?

In a similar way when I click on search I get a blank window with a dog
wagging its tail and no more.

This and the above problem kinda sounds like your program window isn't
opened up far enough, grab the lower right corner with your mouse and
open the window.

The control userpasswords instruction seems to give me the option to add a
password, but the problem with the search window is still there when I
maximise the window.
