Does anyone know of any software or tools that will raise the funtion level
of a regular user account in Windows XP to administrator. I'm aware of the
run-as command and MakeMeAdmin -- temporary admin for your User account.

Does anyone know of any other applications that do this? Any help would be
greatly appreciated

control panel aministrative tools > compmanagement > local users and group
double click the name you want to change only work in xp pro though

Thanks for the response, however what I'm looking to do is run the account in
user mode and be able to raise it to administrator level for certain
applications or to install software.
