User Account unusable after domain change

I've removed my computer from my old domain, and after
restarting, my old main user account is no longer
accessible. It's listed as "Unknown Account" under
account settings in My Computer/Properties/Advanced/User
Profiles but I can't log in with it...

(I can't rejoin the domain either, since I've left it!)


I'm not sure what's going on. Is microsoft help article
811062 applicable here?

Your old account is no longer useable because you are off the domain and the
SID for that account can no longer be verified. I would suggest you consult
with your support staff to get the computer re-joined to the domain.
