User Account Setup Question

I am the administrator of a Windows XP Home system. I
added a user account (limited) for my wife.

There are program icons that appeared on her desktop that
I want to remove and others that did not appear that I
want to add for her.

I cannot figure out how to add/remove program startup
icons for a limited user. (The programs are already on the
hard drive).

Please Help!
 
Locate the account's profile in Documents and Settings folder
by navigating there in Explorer.
Notice the two folders within each account's profile
..\Start Menu
..\Desktop
What shows on a user's desktop and in their start menu is what
is within these folders in their profile added together with what is
in the same folders in the All Users profile.
Never drag-drop move things in and out of these profiles.
Alway copy into and if needed then delete what was copied from.
If it is in All Users it is there for all accounts, so you would have to
copy into corresponding locations in all accounts that should have
the thing before removing from All Users. Similarly, if you are making
it available for all by copying into All Users, then remember to remove
from each profile where it is or else that account will have two of them.
