User Account Control dilemma

I had UAC turned off for a while but recently turned it back on. Now, when I
open Windows Mail, I get the message that an "Unidentified program" is
attempting to access my computer - and goes on to identify the program as
"WinMail.exe" and says from an "unidentified publisher!" From all I read UAC
is either on or off with no provision for allowables. This doesn't make
sense - the Vista security is not allowing a Microsoft program to open. Am
I doing something wrong? Help, please. Thanks

Welcome to Vista...how do you like the 'improved' security by now?
Have you tried running as admin?
You can set it in advanced properties of the shortcut.
