I, too, am trying to create a short presentation for school. I have taken
Sonia's advice to another community member, and used "DVD Decrypter" to rip a
VOB file.
Now that I have the DVD data on my computer, what is the best way to convert
the file into .AVI, .MOV, .MPEG, .MPG, .WMV or another friendly format that
my video editor, Adobe Premiere Pro, can read?
Best regards,
EricRod

Assuming that you have permission from the copyright owner, you can "rip" a
VOB
file and then edit it to extract only what you want. DVD Decrypter with do
the
first step http://www.dvddecrypter.com/, and then you'll need a video editor.
