use crystal enterprise server or not?

We need to decide on the architecture for the reporting system
using .net 2.0 (C#)

There are 2 options for the arechitecture. The first one involves
using crystal enterprise server that would host all the reports, and
render it to the webserver upon requests. This uses the crystal
enterprise object class model (reportInfo objects)

The second option involves using the web server to host and render
the
reports, and there won't be any crystal enterprise for this
architecture. This option involves reportDocument object class model.

Could anyone point out the downs of not using crystal enterprise
server?
Are there any crystal enteprise licenses or multiple users access
issue we need to worry about ?
We will be using crystal 11 for the above architecture.

Thanks in advance for your response.

SQL Server 2005 Reporting Services is quite mature these days too - and if
you already have a licence for SQL Server 2005 you can avoid buying a
reporting system licence.

I strongly agree.

Crystal Reports is dogmeat until Oracle buys Business Objects
