Dear Experts:

I have NEC Laptop and I use 3com 10/100M ethernet PC card to connect to
network. Now I bought one USB2 PCMCIA card. When I inserted it, the windows
froze in a few seconds. The system performed well if only one card in the
slot(either ethernet card or USB2 CARD). If I put both card in the slots,
then I boot up the laptop, the windows is still working but the local area
network shows disabled or network cable removed. I am not able to enable the
connection. It seems some conflicts between two cards. They shared IRQ11,
and device manager says "no conflict" and "The card is working well". I
cannot change the IRQ because it is greyed.

COuld you please give advice. Thanks

Wu

Check the notebook specs, it may only allow one PCMCIA card at once.

Thanks Cari, but I have used two PCMCIA at one time successfully in the
past(Ethernet card and another communication card), so i am wondering what
is wrong now.
