You need to have USB 2.0 hardware, if all you have is USB
1.1, you can buy a USB 2.0 (or a combo USB 2.0 / Firewire)
PCI card. You also need SP1 (or SP2) to have the drivers
for the hardware.
If you install the hardware and want all the USB ports to
work, use the Device manager to remove ALL USB ports and
hubs and controllers, then reboot. Plug and play will
install the USB 2.0 drivers and also allow the USB 1.1 ports
to work at 1.1 speed.

message | I've installed SP1, verify the usb*.sys files are correct.
But the drivers
| in Device Manager don't show 'enhanced' or 2.0. So when I
connect an
| external CD-ROM , a message appears 'Hi-speed USB not
available'.
|
| What else can I do?
|
| Thanks
