I have a really old pc Id like to scrape some more life out with a USB card.
All the cards I see online do not mention any requirements beyond the OS. DO I
need a specific MHz to run USB ?

I don't think the speed is the issue. It is more the BIOS support on the
mother board, and the operating system. If the machine is too old, the USB
port will not be able to be made to operate. You must use Win 98 at the very
minimum for proper USB support. Win 95 has some USB support utilities, but
it does now work well with USB.
