USB suspend/resume

If I suspend or hibernate my laptop in the middle of a
data transfer to or from a USB device, I get the following
error when I resume:

"ERROR Copying File or Folder
Cannot copy <filename>: Cannot find the specified file
Make sure you specify the correct path and filename."

The operating system is XP. What can I do ?
 
You could try not suspending or hibernating while you are transfering
data. I mean seriously, what do you expect. It's the same as if you
press the power button on the front of your computer while you are
transfering data. Of course it is going to not work.

When you suspend or resume, it shuts down USB connections. So it isn't
going to copy properly.
