Additionally, in Windows XP if you plug in a device into a USB1.1 port,
it will pop up an annoying little bubble telling you that the device
would be faster if you plugged it into a USB2.0 port. What's interesting
is that even though it gives you the option to have it show you your
USB2.0 ports, it does not check to see if ANY exist before it warns you.
Thus on old machines (including laptops) that do not have USB2.0
support, you always get the bubble and you always have nothing to do
about it except click the little "X" to make it go away.
Is there any way to turn OFF this bubble?
Anyway, my point is that if you don't see the bubble, then it's gotta be
USB2.
