My OS is XP Pro SP2 with all updates. I have a usb printer (HP)
that works fine. But if I plug in a flash drive stick all is fine and
works well unless I try to reboot or shut down and reboot. Then
the computer takes a very long time to boot up and programs
run very slow after it does finally boot up. If I take the flash drive
back out everything is back to normal. Can anyone help me on
this problem?

Is the flash drive plugged into a hub? As the bad thing about hubs is
that they drop all devices down to the slowest speed of the slowest
device for all devices.

Can't find my problem at these sites. I was looking in hardware
and it says I have a standard enhanced PCI to USB host controller
and a standard openHCD USB host controller
Then below that it shows two USB root hubs. Does this sound right?

My printer works fine, but when I run sisoftsandra 2007 it doesn't
recognize anything connected to USB.
