PC: AMD 2800+
Mainboard: MSI KM4AM-V
XP profesional sp2
Many USB-devises
Soundcard Creative Extigy
Card reader
Qtek PAD
Laserprinter (Samsung ML-1750)
Photoprinter (Epson 2200)
External DVD reader-writer
Scanner (Canon N 650 U)

Problem:
When I insert a new device ( Memory-stic, card reader,
MP3-player,......,...), installation starts but never succseeds. Often I can
see the device in "My computer", but when it is dobbleclicked, the computer
hangs until the device is removed.

The devises can be inserted on many other XP-computeres without any trouble.

If the devises are inserted before the computer is booted, they function as
they should. This is not a fatal problem, but leads to many unnessesary
reboots.

Can somone help?

Cari \(MS-MVP\)

It may not be sufficient if you are running all those devices
simultaneously. You might want to try a powered USB hub or disconnect a few
USB devices first.
