USB printer on ethernet

There are 2 xp computers on this network plus the main machine using Win2k.
The modem/router is a D-link 504 which as 4 switched ports. I want to share
the printer which is a USB printer. It's in a back room far from the main
machine. I assume the ports on the 504 are not printer ports so what is the
best way to get this printer shared? Do I need to buy a new modem,
router/switch with print port? And if so, how do I connect usb to ethernet?

Get a USB print server, which has USB port for connecting to the
printer and an Ethernet port for connecting to a switch port. Here
