USB Port Error

On my Hp computer I have two usb ports that when you plug something in the
computer will say "found new hardware" and lables it as a undown usb port but
when I go to Device Manager it says it is an Unknown Device. I try to
reinstall it but my computer didn't come with disks or CD's for it. I also
try updating it but that won't work. So for the experts out there please
help me.

My advice would be to remove the listing in Device Manager that is
called "Unknown Device" (without the device plugged in). Then, reboot
your system. What is the device? If it's something you can search on the
manufacturer's website for a driver, you should do so and install the
driver first, since Windows didn't recognize it, then plug in the device.

You can download drivers for the device from the manufacturer's website.
