USB Keyboard continues to disconnect

I have a viewsonic USB keyboard. It is becoming more frequent that it
disconnects itself for no reason I can find. The only way for me to use it is
to physicly remove the plug and then plug it back in. Yes it is a easy work
around but I shouldnt have to do it. Please give me some advice.

Does the keyboard disconnect if you move it to another USB port? If it
continues to misbehave, I'd guess that it is dying and should just be
replaced.

did that keyboard come with a PS2 adaptor? If so use the adaptor and plug it
into the ps2 port of the pc.

If not and you dont solve this issue, get a PS2 keyboard...
usb sometimes does this stuff.. it happenes with my mouse sometimes also
