Every time i disconnect me infrared devicve from my
computer the computer switches itself off and restarts,
do you know why this happens and what can i do to stop it
from happening.

my operating system is XP and i have SP2

Your windows crashes and restarts automatically.
Call your local computer specialist to check out why.
Maybe you just need to update infrared drivers (but maybe there is a different problem).
