Hi,
I am looking for advice on a top end usb 2.0 4-port hub to purchase.
(I'm running WinXP Pro.) I've been searching thru some computer-based
stores and each one has their own product to sell. From what I've
seen, looks like I'd want to go with the hi-speed 480 mbps.

Presently, I have 2 ports in the back of my computer - 1 for my battery
backup and 1 for my printer. So, the hub will be used to have
additional ports for mp3, camera, printer, etc. I haven't seen or read
any reviews on any particular brand/model, hence the posting.

One thing I'll go with is a product with a lifetime warranty. Other
than that, are there any products I should be looking at or even
avoid?

Thanks........DrB

Just go with a known branded hub and make sure it has it's own
power supply.

Your post reads as if you have a dated MB, which may not be USB 2.0
compliant. The hub should work but the results may vary. I have a
mainboard that is over three years old and it has 4 ports in the rear
and 4 ports in the front, all USB 2.0.
This is just a few thoughts on the matter.
