USB Hub Power Exceeded

Hi! I keep getting this message randomly "USB Hub Power Exceeded". I am using
several external USB devices: flash card, external drive, PocketPC. All of
them work fine, but sometimes after XP restart I keep getting this message.
Why? What is the reason? I always stop the device before disconneting it from
USB port. How can I aviod getting this message?

Thanks!

Do you use an unpowered hub, if so get a powered one.

Roberto,

Thanks for your reply. I get this message not when using external unpowered
hub. I get this message when I am using the two USB ports that I have in the
laptop - so this error message is about built-in-laptop hub. I cannot change
that I suppose...

Something you have connected directly to the laptop is pulling too much
power. Purchase a powered usb hub and put the usb devices on it.
