USB Flash Drive Format Limit

Does WinXP SP3 has limitation on the size of USB flash drive that it can
format?? I've heard someone says that the maximum size it can format is
64GB. WinXP can't format any flash drive larger than 64GB. I know I haven't
heard of any flash drive larger than 32GB. A friend claims that he has a USB
flash drive larger than 200GB that he's having problem formatting.

Well FAT32 have 32GB limitation well I don't think any such limitations
applicable if you format the driveas NTFS. Let me know which file system you
intend to use. If you intend to use FAT 32 then why don't you create 2
partitions.

Flash drive or hard drive? I seriously doubt that your friend has a
200G flash. If so, he's got more money than brains.

I don't think I've seen 64G flash and if I have they have to be over
$100 US. And I can get Tera bytes for that much on a hard drive.

Still, watch the format type, NTFS, Fat16, Fat32 etc. It has a lot to
do with the size of files and max partition.

He said it's a flash drive. I have no way of confirming it. No, I have not
seen it with my own eyes. My guess is it's one of those "tweaked and fake"
China made flash drive. Here's an example:

Not really sure if that flash drive can really fill up to capacity or crap
out after a few GB.

Me neither. The largest I've seen or heard of is 32GB. If such large flash
drive exists and if you've used it, please give some feedback on this 64GB
flash drive format limit.
