USB External Hard Drive does not show up in My Computer

What could be the problem? I recently re-installed all the USB hardware
but still no luck.

USB - Belkin 2.0
Ex HD is a BlueMedia Device

Is this a new drive? Has it ever worked? Can you try it in another computer?
Have you checked for any jumpers? Are there any lights on?

Use the USB port back your computer, some front port have no enough
watt to support HD

Did you go to Disk Management (via Control Panel or My Computer) and Partition
and Format the disk?

Hi there yes - its worked for the past 6 months no problem then one day
just stopped working. Very bizarre!!! lights are
on.........unfortunately no other PC to try it on....

hi John - Nope - have not formatted or partiioned the disk? Is that the
next step?
