USB Connection problem

When I connect my external dvd rom or any other usb device to the USB of my
laptop, the device powers up and the drivers get installed. However I cant
access the device - In ``my computer`` the device icon shows up with a
cancel sign on it. I know the devices work for sure. Thanks in advance for
any help

HI! please checked your usb system
open control panel. clicke and open system icone. left side you clicke
manager advice and open. checked usb system. You see this signal (?), maybe
yellow color. Your usb system is not installed. Install. clicke on this
signal (?) and install.
