usb cards and ghost for dos

After researching, it appears that Ghost 2003 booting into DOS cannot
use a USB2 PCI card, only the PCI slots off the motherboard which
unfortunately are USB1 and sooooooo slow.
Has anyone seen a workaround?

i would get version 9.0. it works fine over usb2 running from PCI slot
