USB bluetooth adapter

I recently installed a bluetooth USB adapter to talk to my phone, I wonder if
it a good idea to allow it to receive connections from the internet??
I can't think of a reason, however I'm new to bluetooth and this adapter.
also still trying to figure out how to talk to the phone.
the adapter is Bluesolei and my phone is lg5300...

I guess nobody knows about this one, I discovered one late evening, since I
had enabled accept connections from the internet, that my bluetooth adapter
was disabling my DSL connection with some kind of traffic, so I blocked it's
access to the internet with ZA, I haven't had time to get it to talk to my
phone yet, been busy, will post back when I get that figured out.
