Hi everybody,
I use to caopy or make backup to USB disks and USB memory stick. I have
some question.
Is it possible to configure system that it directly write to the disk
and you will be able to disconect USB disk without stoping it using
"Safely Remove Hardware" icon.
It is very important for me. I run backup during the night and in the
morning without loging in to the windows XP (2003) I just want to change
USB disks.
IS there system configuration?
Is there some second you have to wait to safely remowe USB without
logging in?

There is no "safe" waiting period for USB devices. A safe and
much better way is to run deveject.exe - see here:

Yes it is something good. You can shedule it and than take disk without
problems

It means that you can schedule a backup process,
then dismount the USB disk so that clerical staff
can swap it without having to log on to the server -
same as they would swap a backup tape.

That's the beauty of command-line like Linux.

But, I was asking about their functionalities. -_-"

Both the M$ and the command-line one were doing the same job, and are
doing it the right way?
