Did a little comparison betwee the FP usage report and my web stats
app that is provided by host.

FP usage reports says site received over 700,000 visitors the past 12
months.

My host's web stats analyzer says site received only 400,000 visitors
in the past 12 moths.

Host is using LiveStats XSP by from deepmetrix.com

Which are accurate?

The FP counter may be counting every page a user views as a different
visitor. The other one may not. You should probably decide for yourself
which count to take note of.

Visitors defined as?

.... you see each set of software will have a specific definition for each
data set. A visitor may be "specific IP during 30 minute period" or
"specific IP counted as new after no activity for 30 minutes" or "single
IP", etc.

Both sets of software are analyzing the same logs.

To get meaningful data out of it, you must have a complete understanding of
exactly how the software works to generate the numbers. (That's how it is
for any statistics.)

My suggestion is to look around for documentation for both software sets and
use the one that has the best documentation for you to read and figure out
how it all works.

Otherwise, any numbers generated mean very little.
