Hello, All!

I do not understand this problem. I had a problem that required me to
reinstall windows. I had backups (Ghost) that I then reinstalled. As my
system started up all seemed to be fine but then my system rebooted. I tried
again and same result. I have a multiboot system and the second system boots
fine. The only way I've gotten this far is to boot in Safe mode. I've
reinstalled two different backups of my system with the same result. I need
some serious help on this one.

Thanks,
Colonel Blip.

Both are XP Pro. Ghost 9.

Since writing I've gone all the way back to a backup of a month ago and got
around the problem. Then I restored a backup from 2 weeks ago and still ok.
I will likely see if I can get one more week closer. Still don't understand
the problem source however.

Thanks,

Colonel Blip.

I wish I understood what could be doing this. I successively restored backup
that I had one week at a time and eventually got to the two most recent ones
that would not work previously. I had restored these 3 or 4 times previously
including cold shutdowns in-between each one and the result was always the
same - reboot well into the loading of services and startup items.

Now I have restored both of these via the successive approach and they both
work fine. Go figure!

Thanks,

Colonel Blip.
