Hi there

Was hoping someone here might be able to help me with an XL sheet I’m working on at the moment.

I have a time sheet full of data which relates to different clients. What I’d like to do is type in a code at the end of the line and once I’ve typed the code in the whole line then hyperlinks to a different sheet within the workbook.

Can anyone tell me how to do this?
Can you even hyperlink a whole line?

Any help with this would be much appreciated.

Hi Katie,

You can do this by following these steps:

- Select the text on which you want to assign Hyperlink.
- Right mouse-> click Hyperlink
- Then "Insert Hyperlink" dialog box come up
- In left panel you can see "Link to:" section in the same pop up window
- Click on second option "Place in this document"
- Then you can see all the sheets that you have in the workbook
- Select which one you want to hyperlinked
- ok

And its done...

Do let me know how it turns out...

Hi puneetmehra14

Thanks for the info, I've followed your instructions and it worked....but I've realised I might have used the wrong terminology as this isn't quite what I was hoping to do.

I would like to put a code in one cell and once this code has been inputted it will the copy the data in the whole line into a different tab. Is this called transposing or something? Can this be done? If so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks
Katie
