upside-down

Seems like a simple prob but basically I accidentally hit
some combination of keys (on the keyboard) and now my
entire display is quite litterally upside-down, have even
asked a software engineer and he didn't know?

can any one help?

Pull up the display properties in the control panel. You probably have one
of those video cards that supports rotating your display for one of those
monitors that can be rotated.
