Uploading to the Internet

Currently we are uploading our church service to a web page by feeding the
"line output" of the an amplifier into the mike input of a Dell laptop. Is
there a way to also upload a statement recorded on a CD that's in the CD/DVD
tray, or better still, ripped from a CD to a file in the laptop and then
uploaded from that? Or, to put it succinctly, how can I tell the laptop to
switch the audio input for uploading from the mic input to either the CD in
the CD/DVD tray or to a file? Thanks!

Depends on the software your using to record, you didn't state what it is.

You can change the source of recording easily, depending on what software
your using.

Thanks. I'm not aware of the name; I'm not doing the uploading, just
supplying the audio to the "other guy." I've suggested to him that there must
be some "input" selection in his software. I was looking more for what could
be "switched" in the laptop to designate the input...if that's possible.
