Upgrading to XP Pro from ME

While trying to upgrade to XP Pro from Me I run into a
problem part way through the upgrade. I get a message
saying: dmio.sys file corrupted Press any key to
continue. At this point the computer restarts but won't
complete installing XP and I must cancel XP setup. What
options do I have to deal with this situation? Thanks
