Upgrading to Vista Premium

I wish to update to Vista Premium,,,I currently am using Internet Explorer 6
and WMP 10 on my machine,,do I need to update these to current
status(Internet Explorer 7 and WMP 11) first before attempting to install
Vista Premium,,dont't know,,Please Help!!!!!
