Upgrading to office 2007

Hi

I am considering purchasing Office 2007 pro. My question is I have a number
of documents (powerpoint.excel, word and access)created in an earlier
version. Will Office 2007 be able to open them? I am sure I read somewhere
that the new version of Word uses a different file extension (ie not .doc)

Any advice please, many thanks

You'll be fine. Yes, there is a new format but 2007 can read and write .doc
files.
