When I upgrade to OL 2007 from 2002 what do I need to do so I do not lose my
contacts? Should I uninstall 2002 first?

What files should I backup before uninstalling? Just the PST file? Thanks

Uninstalling manually is indeed recommended. Uninstalling won't lead to
loss of any data. After an upgrade I recommend recreating your mail
profile;

No direct need (at least not for uninstalling) but a backup can't hurt of
course.
