Upgrading Outlook 2000 to Outlook 2007

I have installed Outlook 2007 and all of my contacts, folders, calendars,
emails, etc are there, but any time I try to send an email, NONE of my
contacts are coming up in the address book. Can someone tell me how to have
all of those contacts recognized as addresses?

Did you configure Contacts in Outlook 2007 to be used as an Address Book?

In the folder list, right-click on Contacts. Scroll to properties. Click on
the Outlook Address Book tab. Check the box that says " Show this folder as
an e-mail address book." Click OK.

Open a new e-mail and try again.

I have just tried what you have suggested, and it was looking like that would
be the place to configure, but when I go to folder list, right-click on
Contacts, and properties..the check box is gray and I cannot check it. Any
other suggestions? Thanks for your attempt to help me!

I have tried as you describe below, but when I get to the properties,
outlook address book tab, the option to check mark the box is in gray and I
cannot check mark it. Any other suggestions? I appreciate your help.

I did not create a new profile, I remember during the install it asked me
what pst folder to point to, and I chose the old pst file. I did not do any
importing of contacts or calendars, etc. I just directed the program to the
original pst file. If I have to create a new profile, can you tell me how I
would do that? I just hate to go thru all of that when everything is working
fine except addresses (which is a critical issue), but I would hate to take
the chance of losing other data, etc. if I try to create a new profile.
Maybe it is not hard to do..I just don't know that much about it. Your
advice is appreciated.

The problem is with Outlook 2007. When you upgrade to it, you MUST start
with a new mail profile in order to fix the OAB problem.

Brian, after you create the new mail profile, is it simple to get all of
your old contact information, folders, calendar, etc?

Thanks,
Sandsy

Very simple. Use the Data Files button in the Mail applet in Control Panel
(where you'll be when you create the new profile anyway) to add the existing
PST to the profile. Just follow the instructions in the web site Ms. Orland
mentioned.
