Upgrading from VB6 to VB7

Hi,
I wrote a VB6 application which communicated with other applications via
COM.
Now I want to build my VB application in VB7. The problem is that VB7 does
not working with registry.

How can I upgrade my application to VB7, that it will still communicate with
other applications as before ?
