Upgrading from OL2002 to OL2007

I have a badly corrupted installation of OL 2002, that will only open in safe
mode. I want to upgrade a clients PC to OL 2007. Can someone direct me to a
good step by step instruction. I do not use ourlook, and am not familiar
with it at all.
 
Uninstall Outlook 2002 and then install Outlook 2007. If the reason for
Outlook 2002 not starting is because of configuration issues, then upgrading
Outlook will not help your either. Troubleshoot your issue first and then
perform an upgrade.

After upgrading, you might want to take advantage of the new pst-file format
