Upgrading from 2000NT

I am trying to upgrade from 2000NT to XP Pro but for some
reason there is an incompatibility with something called
an Appletalk Protocol. First of all why do I have an
apple protocol on my PC and, more importantly, how do I
get rid of it? I have searched my drive and cannot find
anything that closely resembles it, please help me out, I
want to upgrade.
 
AppleTalk is a protocol used on Apple computers. You may have had it
installed even though you did not need or use it. If your computer was not
networked with Apple computers, you basically would not have been using it.
Prior to upgrading, you should be able to remove the protocol using Control
Panel > Networking.
