I am trying to load Windows XP Home Edition Upgrade into my computer. When I
put the cd in and click install it tells me that my current windows program
does not provide and upgrade path. What does this mean? Does it mean I cant
upgrade to windows xp at all? PLEASE HELP

If you're still on Win95 or anything earlier there is no upgrade path to XP.
For Win 98, 98SE, and Me users, you can upgrade to either XP Home or
Professional versions. Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000 and XP Home users can
upgrade to XP Professional but not to XP Home. Upgrades from NT 3.51, any
server or any beta version are not supported.

It means that you trying to do an unsupported upgrade. You can upgrade from
Windows 98, 98SE, or Me. What operating system are you trying to upgrade
from?

It means you can't upgrade from the operating system you have currently
installed. You are still able to do a clean installation, but to do it with
an Upgrade version, you will need to have a CD of one of the above (or
Windows 95) to insert when prompted to do so.
