Upgrade to XPpro from 98se upgrade

I have win98se upgrade installed (fresh install).
Can I use XPpro upgrade and do a clean install with it.
I never liked the way upgraded os ran.

I read your site but I still have a question.
Is my 98se upgrade disk a qualified for an XP upgrade?
When I install 98se now it asks for a qualified disk for
which I use my 95 disk.
