I've got Windows XP Home edition. msn.com seems to indicate I'm "eligible"
for an upgrade to professional. My company's VPN set up requires
professional. I've been poking around msn.com and can't see if the upgrade is
free or not, if it's something that's a download or not, if I can it direct
from msn or have to go through a software reseller. Anyone have experience
going from XP Home edition to professional? Thanks, Blaise

See if you can get your company to pay for it. It's not free otherwise.

Microsoft didn't become the monopolist it is by giving out upgrades to
Windows for free.
