upgrade to windows media center

i asked earlier if this could be done and microsoft wont
do it . but my comp is a dell do you think that they
might be able to get this for me.

Greetings --

The answer remains the same. WinXP MCE is available _only_ as a
pre-installed OEM product. You have to buy an entire PC to get it.
Dell does offer some WinXP MCE models.

That is because MCE, or the components that make XP into MCE, aren't
sold or otherwise made available to other than vendors of MCE
compliant PCs, for OEM installation on such PCs.
