Upgrade Path to Vista Announced, and it isn't pretty!

Actually, Vista doesn't do a traditional upgrade. Because of the new
WIM technology it's ( Vista ) install/upgrade is actually an Imaging
type of install. If I understand it correctly it operates more like a
Files & Settings transfer after the Image is laid down. XImage is the
new tool for implementing/modifying your own custom image.

All Win2K & XP64 users will need to do clean installs.

Only XP Home will be truly upgradeable to any flavor of Vista.

But by the looks of the chart, I'd say that upgrading is gonna be
riskier than it has been in the past.

Makes sense. You can't downgrade XP Pro to XP Home now. Likewise, you won't
be able to "re-grade" XP Pro to Vista Home.

And anyone who gets a version of Vista other than "Ultimate" will be sucking
hind tit.

Why would most home users or even most businesses want or need
"Ultimate?" To give MS more money for sh*t they'll never use?

Ultimate is for those looking to extend the size of their p*nis, because
they got such a small one.

Most intelligent business buyers will be buying the "Business" version,
and most home users will be making decisions of whether to by a computer
with Home "Basic" or "Premium," much like they do today between XP Home
and MCE.

So you think that sucking from the front tit will give you a bigger one?
Interesting, but I sure as hell will keep my female dog away from you.

That's as good a reason as any (I'm a Micros~1 stockholder). But by so
doing, we'll eliminate all the "why can't I do 'X' when my friend can? He
has Pro and I have Home".

And that's bad exactly how? Almost everybody, including girls, want a bigger
p*nis. I'm suspicious of anyone who doesn't.

Yep. And they'll regret it.

No need. I'm not a home-wrecker.

Nice growth stock a decade ago.

LOL! That's what MCE is for.

LOL! Too much of anything . . . .

I'm quite satisfy with what the good lord gave me, except when it comes
to cold water.

And I'm sure that you'd be suspicious of me know matter how I felt about
mine.
Yep. And they'll regret it.

Bull and FUD. Most home users, that aren't geeks, will need nothing
more.
No need. I'm not a home-wrecker.

No, just a FUDmeister.

They are sure closing the doors on any kind of versatility.
Vista is going to be a hard sell. Most end users myself
included will not know what is needed.
