upgrade memory the system won't boot up

Hi, I have a desk top windows xp pro. after upgrade memory the desk top keep
crashing, I take the upgade memory out of the desk top . the windows working
fine. I have same brand memory , 512 m, pc3200. when I upgrade the system
keep
says BOOT IN NORMAL OR IN SAFE MODE . I do not want to try boot up in safe
mode . because I have previous problems.

Sounds as if you have a bad ram module or hopefully it wasn't seated fully.

It either doesn't like your system or doesn't like being in bed with
your existing ram.

Same brand is a logical thing to try but still, it most likely doesn;t
like the old stuff. Same things happen with hard drives as well, even
the same brand.
