I have a web in its design stage. It was created in F/P 2000 and worked
fine. Having upgraded to F/P 2002 if I try to open a file from the Folder
List within the web I get a "Cannot Load File..." message and when I go into
Preview mode nothing works i.e the buttons in the web to enable me to move
from one part to another do not function. Surely F/P 2002 can read a web
created in F/P 2000. Is there something I should be doing to upgrade/save my
web which will enable F/P 2002 to read it in the same way as F/P 2000.
Otherwise I will simply have to re-install the older version, whcih I have
never had to do with any of the other Office programs. My operating system
is Win XP and I am using the Office 2003 suite.

Any advice welcome.

Thanks

Gareth

Are you getting this kind of message?: Could not open file: C:\Documents
and Settings/Yourname/Local Settings/Temporary Internet
Files/FrontPageTempDir/cd9b1215.html

Surely F/P 2002 can read a web

Many thanks for your help - much appreciated! The excellent website
"spiderwoman" did resolve the second issue when I edited the registry. Sadly
the workaround did not work for the first issue. Maybe I should point out
that my upgrade is to F/P 2002 not 2003 (not sure if that makes a
difference!) and that my web is not live and all the issues appertain to the
design format which is on my stand-alone PC. The "Cannot load file..." on
the "spiderwoman" site points to Temp Internet folders whilst mine points to
a saved file on My Documents file. I do not have this issue with F/P 2000.

Thanks again - any further thoughts welcome!
