I am trying to upgrade from Server 2000 to 2003 and having a couple problems.
First, i get a message that windows server 2000 cannot be upgraded to server
2003 (this is strange) and when I rtry a fresh install I get a blue screen.
Has anyone else had this problem?

This might happen if an incorrect drive controller was interpreted during
text mode setup. If your drive controller is not natively supported then
you'll want to boot the Windows 2003 CD-Rom. Then *F6* very early and very
important (at setup is inspecting your system) in the setup to prevent drive
controller detection, and select S to specify additional drivers. Then later
you'll be prompted to insert the manufacturer supplied Windows 2003 driver
for your drive controller in drive "A"
