Upgrade from W98 -Recommend 2000 or XP?

I've got a Compaq Presario with an AMD-K6 (400MHZ)
processor, 224mb ram, and 12GB Hard Drive. Does anyone
have a recommendation as to whether I upgrade to Win2000
or XP, given the speed of the CPU?

To be quite honest I would stay on Windows 98 if I were you unless you have
a specific reason to migrate.
