I used a "Windows XP with SP2" CD to upgrade a Windows 2000 computer to
Windows XP. The machine works fine, and IPCONFIG shows an IP address but
the machine cannot be seen using TCP/IP by any other machine on the network.
The Internet Connection Firewall service won't start (it tells me to upgrade
WMI) and SP2 re-install fails ("Access denied" half way through the
installation).
I'm not too worried about the firewall, but I would like TCP/IP in both
directions. Any ideas?
